Good Morning

What a grand morning it is. We are in Wyoming. My son said, "Wyoming is the most boring state to drive through." He might be right if you are going to drive straight through. The first thing mom and I do when crossing into a new state is stop at the information center. We found that Wyoming is a fascinating state and of course we wanted to stay and explore.

This morning I called Collier and asked my service rep if we need to slow down or speed up. The good news is they found the problem with the electrical system. The bad/good news is we need to slow way down. So we will have plenty of time to explore Wyoming, get the oil changed on the car, and continue the car road trip for another week. At the end of the week I will call again and ask "do we need to slow down or speed up."

Mom and I are homesick but we are finding wonderful places to explore which helps our ailment. I am beyond thrilled that they found the electrical problem. I had nightmares of our little house catching on fire. They are wonderful people to work with both in the service department and dealership. We are fortunate to purchase our home from them. I know three weeks is a long time to wait for repair but parts need to be ordered and electrical problems are a pain in the arse to find. We are patient, we just want our home back fully repaired and ready to go.

Mom is sitting on ready and rocking on go so I need to get dressed, find food, book the room for another night, and get oil change.

Later.

A Poem by Dorothy Parker

One Perfect Rose

A single flower he sent me, since we met.

All tenderly his messenger he chose;

Deep-hearted, pure, with scented dew still wet--

One perfect rose.

I knew the language of the floweret;

"My fragile leaves," it said, "his heart enclose."

Love long has taken for his amulet

One perfect rose.

Why is it no one ever sent me yet

One perfect limousine, do you suppose?

Ah no, it's always just my luck to get

One perfect rose.

Idaho May 28th

Idaho was flat and dusty. The winds were unbelievable; I couldn’t imagine trying to drive the motor home in those conditions. The dust that was being blown around made me sick. My allergies are still acting up today and I finally relented and took an allergy pill. We did stop in Twin Falls and at a rest stop. Enjoy the pictures.

Cute Notice Given To Me At A Hotel

"Dogs are welcome in this hotel. We've never had a dog that smoked in bed and set fire to the blankets. We've never had a dog who stole our towels, played the TV too loud or had a noisy fight with his/her traveling companion. We've never had a dog who got drunk and broke up the furniture. So, if your dog can vouch for you, you're welcome too!"
