I am adding to this entry but I would love to see your blog, Shelley. My mother and I live in a 34-foot Holiday Rambler and flat tow our vehicle.
Today was shopping day. I am so in love with my vice grips that I went out and bought two more in different sizes. I also bought a punch so I will not have to use a screwdriver to pound out my pins on the hitch. I replaced the screwdriver I broke and I bought a hacksaw.
I feel like Tim the Tool Man.
I was so happy with my purchases that I sat at the picnic table and opened each package. My neighbors came by for a visit and were quite pleased with my purchases. They couldn’t figure out why I needed a hacksaw until I showed them my cone. I am also a proud owner of a cone. I have a water purifier but the holder for it has to be driven in the ground. Which in some places is darn near impossible. I cut off the top of the cone, set the water purifier inside the cone, and viola I have a handy dandy water purifier holder that doesn’t need to be driven in the ground. And that is my helpful tip for the day. You see, there are other uses for traffic cones.
Mom and I are in love with this park. It is right by a creek, lots of families, which makes for great people watching. We covered our picnic table, put out the candles, and set up our chairs. We gathered kindling tonight and will have us an old fashion weenie roast to celebrate the Fourth of July. We are seriously thinking about spending another week.
Dirk, we are one hour and thirty minutes away from you.
Our plans is to see James Dean’s gravesite, my neighbors told us about another cemetery which is down the road from James Dean’s gravesite. Then we will spend a day in Huntington looking for information on the family history. We also want to see the home of James Whitcomb Riley. Pictures will be posted when we hit the road in the car. Until then, Happy Fourth of July.
Hannah "Dean" is your Aunt.
