A Lulu Moment
I spent a lot of time working with Lulu, leash training, no bark, stay, etc and there are times when I look at the negative too much. I fail to see the progress. Today she reminded me of just how far she has come.
We came home from shopping and mom went in the house first. She always opens the door to Lulu's little house so she can come out. As always she has to "escape" and greet me as I am unloading the car. Then she follows me inside. This time I had to make a second trip and out the door she went behind me. I stopped and pointed to the door, and said "To The House Lulu." She stopped turned around and went back inside.
She wasn't happy about it.... but she went inside. She actually walked real slow to the door and my neighbors got a kick out of watching her stomp back to the house.
Good dog, Lulu.

It is easy to overlook the positives. But what a good girl she is!! I'm really impressed, Pepper.
I love hearing about Lulu on your blog. She's a lucky little Yihuahua! Was she pouting too? I can just see her little doggie lip pooched out and her hairy little chin all wrinkled. She was probably muttering all the way about how nobody loves me, everybody hates me; I might as well go outside and eat worms! Hah, for me the mental image is hilarious! How loud IS it when she stomps? Was she listening to Toxicity at the time?
Such the good little girl...give her a treat. Happy Birthday Pepper. And as the old bat of this blogger group might I say 50 is a wonderful age...a great time of new beginings. If you stay healthy it can be great.
I hope you do a few special things to celebrate. Ear phones were a great gift idea. I'm getting some for me for my audio books...block out distractions.
