The Calm Before The Storm

We left Bartlesville this morning and just drove.  We didn't have a destination in mind, we were considering driving as far south as possible to avoid the storm.  We made a few stops before we arrived in Oklahoma City and it was there we decided to stop for the night.  The RV park we stopped at told us that it might be for the best to go to a motel.  This is the first time this happened.  I just stood there looking at her like she sprouted two heads.  We got back in the van and headed down the road.  We stopped at Guthrie.

We checked into a hotel, the lady at the front desk explained the storm system coming in and put us in a room that will not get the rain or wind as bad.  She showed us where to park and explained hail damage.  I am starting to look at her like she grew two heads but she was calm and professional.  She explained there will be a news team in and of course the storm chasers.  We were told where to go when the storm comes in (around rush hour) and what to do.

She also said another will be coming in on Thursday......  We are going to have to find free places for 4 nights to offset the cost of the hotel room.
