We decided to stay in Tallahassee for two night (leave Friday) and ride out the freeze. So I have nothing to blog about – no travels, no adventures, notta… Like someone told me “just babble, babble is better than nothing.”
Yesterday I had to wire money to my son for some minor major house repairs and so we took off for the Publix Grocery Store. I had a very helpful and nosey employee help me fill out the Western Union form. When she saw my Florida address she said “Oh you're not far from home.” I learned to just smile and not say a thing. Then she showed me where to fill out Scott’s info which is just his name and location. When she asked why I was sending money I said “I am sending him money to fix my house.” That is when she looked at me and then she looked at the form. I could see the wheels churning in that brain of her’s. Pensacola address – Tucson Home…. Then she immediately asked for my driver’s license, which I gave her. Again I saw that familiar confused look in her eyes – Pensacola address, Tucson home, Missouri Driver License. Before she could say a word I explained, “I live in the perpetual state of confusion.” No more was said or asked.
Florida is experiencing a freeze and according to the weather map it is state wide. It should be turning around by this weekend and I am looking forward to doing some hiking at the Tomoka State Park. We are going to see St. Augustine at a later and warmer date.
Life is good.
