Collier Seminole State Park

This is a great park.  We liked it the minute we drove in and immediately made reservations to come back.  No I didn’t fix dinner.  They had a one man band playing in the park just three or four lots down from where I am so that is where we spent the evening.

Before we left Labelle this morning I emptied my tanks, checked my gauges, and took off.  After listening to the band we flipped on the heat and I don’t know why I just felt the need to check the gauges again.  We are almost out of propane and it is going to be 27 degrees tonight.  We have an electrical heater and for once it is great to be an insomniac.  I will just keep it running until I get tired.  I will never leave an electric heater running unattended.  I am just weird that way.

I took off this afternoon and took an easy stroll on a trail in the park.  There are a lot of hiking trails outside the park so it will be a fun stay and an fun return.  One of the attractions in the park is the “Bay City Walking Dredge.”

Enjoy the pictures.

Have a wonderful time at Collier Seminole State Park and the area in general. Since we didn’t visit this state park, I will be looking forward to your report. Also Pepper, not sure of your travel directions, but there are federal parks just down the road on 41 too, in Big Cypress.
