Homestead Florida

We arrived in Homestead on Sunday.  We met up with Sherry and we met Petey for the first time.  Petey is such a beautiful cat and so regal.

Monday it rained and we stayed home.  I did make Hoppin John and it came out alright.  Not good enough to post the recipe.

Today we decided to get out and do a little exploring. We drove to Key Largo for lunch and then started looking for another pair of hiking sandals for me since  I wore out the last pair.  I am happy to say I found them.  I also found a shirt to replace the one that was worn out.  So it was a productive day.  Tomorrow we are going to set out early in the morning and drive to Key West Florida.  Why?  Because it is there and it is on a bucket list.    That is why I rented a car today.  I figure it would be cheaper than running the van down there.

One the way to Homestead I finally found an alligator.  Plus we stopped at the smallest Post Office in the United States.

James aka Rusty thank you for talking me into getting this phone.  If it wasn’t for the phone I wouldn’t be able to get on the net these past week and a half.  Thank You!!

Enjoy the pictures.
