Dead Men Don’t Hiccup

I woke up to “Old Banjo Eyes” Eddie Cantor this morning. What a wonderful way to wake up – with laughter. I know some of you are wondering who is Eddie Cantor? The rest of you are thinking, “Pepper the man has been dead for 43 years, what kind of dream are you having?”

Mom flipped on the TV and there he was starring in the movie “Strike Me Pink” with his bodyguard “Parkyakarkus” and Ethel Merman as the vamp. I didn’t stop laughing until the movie was over and I am still chuckling. I lay in bed watching him and thinking, “They don’t make movies like this anymore.”

I hope everybody wakes up once this week with hilarity and if your significant other asked you how you learned to kiss like that. Just say, “I used to blow a bugle for the Boy Scouts.”

Take the time to rent (if you can) an Eddie Cantor movie.

Today is housecleaning day and tomorrow is moving on. Mom and I are getting itchy feet and looking forward to seeing our grandpuppies again. Oh and the kids as well.

Later.
