We Were There

We are getting ready to leave tomorrow for Collier Seminole State Park.

This week has been busy.   Tuesday we had laundry and baths plus we did a little exploring and went to the Coral Castle in Homestead.  After that we enjoyed John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park in Key Largo, spent two days in Key West,  did more laundry and prepared for our stay in Collier.  If we don’t have to go to the store for 5 days that would be fine with me.

The park we are staying in Homestead is not one we would go back too.  There is a language barrier (most folks are from Quebec) and then today I was informed the only amenities we could enjoy was the bathroom and laundry.  I  tried to get in the club house for a cold soda from the soda machine and was informed it was “members only.”    So it wasn’t bad it just wasn’t good.  Everyone seemed to be friendly which was a plus.  Also the majority of dog owners have Yorkies.  It was a Yorkie parade at times.

I have been going through my pictures and I have enough to post all week.  My goal today is to write blogs and put everything on automatic pilot, so to speak.  My phone service doesn’t work in Collier, I can text, and my internet will be iffy.

Enjoy the wildlife pictures.

"Members only"?? Do people actually buy memberships for the place? And if so why do they rent space to non-members?? Goofy. And I don't mean the Disney World resident; I mean that's nutz.
