That is the love of a dog.

Well we made it to Oklahoma!  We drove from El Dorado Kansas to Enid Oklahoma via back roads.  It was a wonderful drive.  We would have made it further down the road but we stopped in Newkirk Oklahoma for a couple of hours.  We decided to throw away $40 and for once it took a while to get rid of it.

We stayed at Deer Grove RV Park while in El Dorado.   The reviews on it is average.  It is just a huge graveled parking lot but it had WI FI that worked as well as cable.   Add that to friendly happy people and a reasonable price…. well I will definitely be back if I am passing through.

At the park office in El Dorado they had a dog.  A sweet little mutt that was a great greeter.  One of their overnight guest decided they didn’t want her anymore and instead of finding an animal shelter they dumped her.  The owner of the park fed her, thinking maybe they will come back but they never did.  They do not know who dumped her.  So she stayed.  Every time a motorhome pulls up to register she goes on high alert, not a fifth wheel or travel trailer but a motorhome.  She still waits, she still has hope….  That is the love of a dog.

I could just cry reading about that special dog. I hope the RV park owners will love and look after her and I'm sure karma will look after the heartless people who abandoned her. Sometimes I think the love of a dog can be better than from a human...
Good to hear you weathered the storm...

Shame on those people who dumped the dog. They don't deserve a sweet little dog. I hope the park owners will continue to take care of her. I can't believe people can be so cruel.

Great pictures as always! Very sad to hear about the little dog :( Hopefully someone will take care of her and give her the love she deserves! I can't imagine a person doing that to someone who loves them so much.
